Coffee is a drink that is consumed and loved all over the world, but, as always… whatever country you visit you will find different methods and customs!
We of the Pro-Fondi-EVO team, the electric device exclusive and patented by Ambrodesign, also known as the electric coffee knockbox, have analyzed the various methods and the most typical customs. Because everyone knows that for us Italians, coffee is almost an institution, a sweet (or bitter, depending on taste) ritual that marks our days but for the others?
Finland is the country with the highest per capita consumption of coffee in the world: here the drink is in fact lighter than elsewhere and is somewhat reminiscent of American coffee. The most curious tradition for "foreigners" is perhaps the one that provides the accompaniment to coffee flavoured caramelized reindeer cheese: the recipe for Kaffeost, which means "coffee and cheese", has its origins in Swedish Lapland, where the cheese cut into cubes is served and dipped in the bitter drink.
The Germans and the Irish, on the other hand, prefer very sweet coffee, often mixed with alcohol, the former with rum and the latter with whiskey. Both with a whipped cream topping, they are a natural and "simple" remedy to warm you up during intense cold evenings. Also very popular in Germany is Eiskaffee, which is often confused with an ice cream cup: cold coffee, two scoops of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and chocolate powder.
n Malaysia and Hong Kong, on the other hand, it is an infusion of black tea with milk mixed with coffee, it is called Yuanyang and is traditionally served both hot and cold in open-air kiosks; I n South Korea, dalgona coffee is famous, a mixture of ground coffee, sugar and hot water that is stirred until it has a foamy consistency and served with hot milk.
In Saudi Arabia and Arab countries, a combination of coffee, sugar and spices such as cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, saffron and ginger is prepared, served with a few drops of orange blossom water.
And it doesn't stop there: in South America, coffee is boiled together with brown sugar or with the addition of panela and takes on a taste of caramel, honey and liquorice.
In Colombia, on the other hand, coffee is pure love and is somewhat reminiscent of Italian macchiato: espresso accompanied by hot milk.
Did we open your mind and make you want to taste them all? You don't necessarily need to board a plane to discover them more closely. Some are home made, others can also be found in the best pastry shops and bars that use Pro-Fondi EVO, the automatic disposal unit.
