We had the pleasure of talking with Elena, the owner of the “Scuba Bar” in Verona, a historic venue that has been opening its doors to many customers every day for over 30 years.

Thank you Elena for the time you have decided to grant us. Let's get to know each other better: how did your establishment come about, and what are the peak hours of customer influx?t

Our local has been present for over 30 years but I and my husband Giovanni have been running it for about 13 years. Our bar is located in a strategic position, we are close to the fairgrounds and near to train station. Considering the area where we are our work is mainly concentrated between breakfasts and lunches, in fact we are surrounded by offices (accountants, lawyers, banks...), medical offices and numerous business activities such as B & B. Most of our regular customers do not spend more than an hour inside our bar: very often our customers enter, drink coffee and run to work. Others stop by for lunch. It’s important for us to ensure an excellent and fast service.

Did you adopt the Ambrodesign’s Pro-Fondi system, the portafilter cleaning machine. How did you come across it and what has been your experience with it?

In 2020, we decided to completely renovate our establishment and we entrusted the renovation to Cavigar S.r.l. from the province of Mantova: an furnishings company specializing in public establishments, that designed and implemented a customized furnishing project for us. Thanks to them that we became aware of your automatic filter cleaner: the interior designer who introduced it to us described Pro-Fondi® EVO as an innovative portafilter cleaning system that would ensure cleanliness and hygiene in bar, and above all, a noise impact reduction inside our establishment. Giovanni and I thought about it for a few days, but in the end, we decided to install it, and after 3 years of use, I can confirm that we couldn't have made a better choice!

The portafilter cleaning machine is very easy to use and the impeller cleans the portafilter optimally; the traditional coffee grounds draw is now a distant memory… the coffee grounds go directly into the bag without spillage, and that’s it!

Can you tell me the first advantage that comes to your mind when I say Pro-Fondi® EVO?

Sure! The first advantage that comes in my mind when talking about the Pro-Fondi system is its quietness. The noise associated with the traditional knock boxes drawer was really bothersome. Now, thanks to this bar accessory, we have reduced the acoustic impact in our premises, which is an added value for our main customers who want to have lunch or enjoy a coffee in tranquility! The portafilter cleaning brush has always proven to be a very functional device, although I had to purchase a new motor from your online shop after a year.
