Diego Brunelli, who works for Musetti as Area Manager for the Veneto region and who deals vertically with the HORECA channel, dedicated some of his time to deepen all the advantages of the Pro-Fondi system, the exclusive and patented electric knockbox by Ambrodesign that improves every day the life of those who are busy behind the counters of bars, roasting plants and restaurants.

Diego, how did you learn about the automatic coffee grounds cleaner?

I started my career as a bartender; then I opened a bartender school where inside there was a coffee machine and basic coffee making courses were held and in this context one of the various Pro-Fonds EVO test was placed and I was immediately struck by its operation, its ease of use but at the same time its high cleaning and hygiene result. I have been working in this field for 15 years now and I can only confirm the countless advantages of Pro-Fondi EVO.

Can you tell us more about it?

The electric knockbox is excellent both from a hygienic and ecological point of view: since it is connected to a bag where the coffee grounds fall without dispersion on the counter, the room is always clean even from a visual point of view. Moreover, it speeds up and improves filter cleaning: the electric disposer eliminates completely, without leaving residues, the filter used for the previous customer. I feel like saying that by now Ambrodesign's patented electric device has become a normal working tool, to be included among all bar equipment!

How is the knockbox perceived in the HORECA sector?

Considering the high number of installations of Pro-Fondi in professional activities both by us and by other roasting companies, I would say that it enjoys an excellent reputation: after all, the electric coffee grounds emptier is sold and appreciated all over the world. More and more, by the way, we have noticed that those who buy the electric coffee grounds disposer are not only coffee roasters but even architects already include the Pro- Fondi in their design projects. This means that even the most important designers see the easy cleaner as a fundamental tool, both for the well-being of customers and workers.

How is Pro-Fondi EVO on a mechanical level?

The coffee grounds disposer is very reliable, in the sense that it boasts a very low replacement rate and a very long life. The mechanical impeller is normally replaced once every year and a half or depending on the volume of coffee consumed, but it is really perfect at the mechanical level. In case of assistance, we at Musetti have started a double collaboration with Ambrodesign: we directly replace and maintain the coffee knockbox.

The first thing that jumps out at you is the convenience: the electric knockbox is activated automatically when you approach the filter holder and in less than two seconds it cleans the cup in an excellent way.
