Thanks to LF and the REPA Group, Pro-Fondi EVO lands all over the world

Pro-Fondi EVO. Interview with LF and REPA Group

LF Spa is a multinational, leader in Europe and since 2018 part of REPA The Spare Parts Group, is active in the distribution of spare parts and accessories for professional kitchens aimed at a b2b market. In particular, it deals with the distribution, in 150 countries around world, of spare parts and accessories for professional catering and bars including Pro- Fondi and Pro-Fondi EVO , electric disposal unit for coffee grounds exclusive to and patented by Ambrodesign.

Gilberto and Lisa are respectively the Director Professional Coffee for the REPA Group and the Marketing Manager of LF with whom we had the pleasure of speaking today and, after introducing their businesses, they answered some of our questions on the Pro - Fondi system and on their business reality.

When did you choose to purchase Pro Fondi by Ambrodesign? And why? What are the advantages of the Pro-Fondi system?

We believe we were among the first customers of Pro-Fondi, a system that has now been present in our distribution network for about 7 years. It was a chance encounter: we wanted to introduce it after seeing it in a bar at Venice's Marco Polo airport.
The Pro-Fondi instrument is advantageous because it’s non-invasive and lends itself to a repetitive use of the activity in a practical way. In addition to significant savings in time, the electric knockbox also addresses the issue of the hygienic cleaning of the coffee grounds.

Have you bought and tried the new version of the electric grounds emptier, Pro-Fondi EVO ?

Certainly yes, the Pro-Fondi EVO version  performs even better than the previous one because it adapts to all types of filter holders and is equipped with a sensor which activates the silicone impeller, thus ensuring professional and deep cleaning.

In a period like this, it is and has been more difficult to sell the Pro-Fondi automatic coffee grounds cleaner?

Our turnover is growing compared to the previous year and we are witnessing an increase in sales in our main markets, namely Italy and Germany, which paradoxically were also the hardest hit by this difficult period. We believe in this case that online resale has benefited, which covers 98% of products, including that of the Pro-Fondi system.

You are an international reality: where are you present in the world? Who are your customers?

In synergy with all partners of the REPA Group we have 7 operating logistics sites in Europe and 16 sales offices in Europe and worldwide.

Our targets are mostly technicians and repairers, VAT holders, traders and companies specializing in the distribution of the product in different countries. It is a diverse market that includes big coffee shop chains of high range

Where do you find a greater demand for the countertop knockbox? Does it also sell well abroad?

We sell the Pro-Fondi electrical system a lot in Italy and Germany, mainly to coffee roasters.
Now foreign markets have made great strides in the culture of Italian espresso and we are seeing a growing demand for professional coffee equipment, such as Pro-Fondi, in countries including Denmark, Slovenia, Spain, but also Taiwan and Kuwait.
Pro-Fondi EVO is a tool for cleaning the coffee machines in bars which has an excellent quality-performance ratio and we believe that there should be awareness of the added value it produces.
